HandleLidSwitch status being ignored

OS: Fedora 40 (GNOME) 

 Hardware: Asus ROG, NVIDIA graphics 

 Issue: 

 I edited  logind.conf to ignore HandleLidSwitch but every time, closing the lid would log me out of the session.
